It's been a while since this website and blog have received any attention from us. So we have given it the old once-over and blown off some of the cobwebs.
You'll now find an updated Google map on the 'Find a Door' page. The map should also show photos of the doors making it a bit easier for people to find them. We appreciate it when people report back on how the doors are doing, if they need any repair or even if they are missing altogether. The 'Buy a Door' page should also make it easier for people to identify what kind of door they want. Despite all the suggestions we have deliberately not put in a 'buy now' option as that would probably require us both to quit our day jobs and start making doors full-time. Having a 'buy-now' option would give us less control over our workload where as now we can still pace ourselves by managing the amount of work we accept. We love making the doors. Well, I say 'we', but Steve is the genius craftsman who makes them. I'm just the administrative support person. But we both love bringing magic into people's lives. (Not just children, you would be surprised how many adults purchase them for themselves!) We especially love hearing about the fairy hunts that people take their children on and how much joy they get from knocking on the wee doors and speculating what the fairies might be doing this very minute. Hopefully the website is a bit more consistent and while I'll still tweak it here and there, we think it's better than it was. We also wanted to thank all of you who have been following us on facebook, who have 'liked' our photos and written messages to us. We have especially appreciated your patience and understanding as we have fumbled our way towards providing you with a professional service. Your support and affection for Imagination Doors has made this all worthwhile. All our love xox
